Gentle anesthesia – Osteocentral anesthesia

Root canal treatment illustration by a dentist at Smilezone Dental Practice Zug.

Osteocentral anesthesia (also known as intraosseous anesthesia) is at the heart of our gentle dentistry. As the bone cannot feel pain, the anesthetic is applied directly in the bone near the tooth. Another advantage is that only the tooth is anesthetized and not the lip, cheek or tongue. You will only feel a slight vibration.
