Orthodontics has arrived at Smilezone Zug

Good news from Bahnhofstrasse 32: Smilezone Zug now offers orthodontics, which widens what the practice can do for your smile. Braces for teenagers, early treatment for children, and aligners for straightforward and complex cases alike. Crooked or crowded teeth and a bad bite can now be assessed right here in Zug. If you have been toying with the idea of straighter teeth for yourself or your child, the new orthodontics offer is the place to start.

What orthodontics actually means

The term sounds technical, yet the idea behind it is refreshingly simple. Orthodontics is the field of dentistry that corrects misaligned teeth and jaws. In everyday words: if teeth are crooked or crowded, or the upper and lower jaws do not meet properly, this is the specialism that deals with it. Fixed braces and clear aligners are its classic tools, both part of the new offer. Many children and teenagers wear braces at some point, and straightforward aligner corrections have a dedicated team here.

The treatments now on offer

Four routes are available, each with its own character. Which one suits you or your child is what the consultation sorts out.

Fixed braces

Brackets and wires that stay on the teeth for the whole treatment. The classic option for many children and teenagers. Dr Yoo plans and provides this treatment at specialist level.

White ceramic brackets

Fixed braces, simply more discreet. The brackets are made of white ceramic, so the appliance blends in with the teeth instead of standing out. A good match for anyone who would rather keep their braces in the background.

Aligners

Aligners are clear, removable trays instead of fixed brackets. You take them out for eating and for cleaning your teeth. Who treats you depends on the case: straightforward to moderate aligner corrections are handled by the practice’s aligner team, Fernanda Moreira and Dr. Florence Junes. Complex aligner cases go to Dr Seung-Woo Yoo, specialist in orthodontics, so tricky situations are welcome.

Early treatment

Early treatment is for children only and takes place while the jaw is still growing. In simple words: orthodontic care during the growing years, not later in life. It rounds off the new offer and matches Dr Yoo’s clear focus on children and teenagers.

We look forward to seeing you

Dr. med. dent. Seung-Woo Yoo, specialist in orthodontics, treats complex cases, teenagers and early treatment, with aligners and with fixed braces. FOCUS has recommended him four years in a row, and he is active as a lecturer and speaker. Straightforward aligner corrections, by contrast, stay with the aligner team. Your Saturday consultation shows who fits your case.

Saturday consultation at Bahnhofstrasse 32

Consultations take place every Saturday from 08:00 to 12:00 at Bahnhofstrasse 32, 6300 Zug. A Saturday slot can make it easier to fit the appointment around school, since pupils usually have no lessons on Saturdays. The first appointment includes a consultation, photographic records of your teeth and a 3D scan with an intraoral scanner instead of an impression. The scanner captures the teeth in three dimensions, with no impression material in the mouth. A referral from your dentist is possible, and so is a photo of your teeth in advance; both are welcome. You can also reach the practice on +41 41 711 66 31.

Booking takes one call: +41 41 711 66 31. If messaging suits you better, send a WhatsApp to +41 77 528 86 63. And if you would like to read up on the treatments first, everything is waiting on the orthodontics page.
